Abstract

SAAVEDRA, Renata Franco. New Feminisms? Intergenerational Connections and Conflicts Between Feminists. Rev. Estud. Fem. [online]. 2020, vol.28, n.3, e62026.  Epub Sep 01, 2020. ISSN 1806-9584.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1806-9584-2020v28n362026.

In this article, we will discuss the idea of "new feminisms", an increasingly common idea in the media and in academic analysis, presenting the generational debate as it stands today between the youngest and the most experienced feminist activists. After this contextualization, we analyze how this debate is experienced by young artivists - activists who use art as the key means of activism - and feminist cultural producers in activity in Rio de Janeiro, exploring intergenerational connections and conflicts within contemporary feminisms.

Keywords : Feminisms; Artivists; Cultural production; Intergenerational dialogues.
