Abstract

VIEIRA, Talita Machado; JUSTO, José Sterza  and  MANSANO, Sonia Regina Vargas. Body and Gender in the Early Experience of Soccer Players. Rev. Estud. Fem. [online]. 2021, vol.29, n.2, e79309.  Epub May 08, 2021. ISSN 1806-9584.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1806-9584-2021v29n279309.

This article has the goal of understanding how the brand of gender crosses the early experience of female soccer athletes with the sport. To do so, we adopted a cartography perspective and analyzed the semi-structured interviews made with athletes in formation and of high performance. Despite their age difference, we noted that the dificulties they found to get inserted in the soccer universe are similar and they are still based on stereotyped perceptions about genders.

Keywords : Women Soccer; Social Psychology; Gender; Body.
