Abstract

MARTINEZ, Fabiana Jordão. Militants and Radicals of the Fourth Wave: Feminism in the Digital Age. Rev. Estud. Fem. [online]. 2021, vol.29, n.3, e70177.  Epub Sep 01, 2021. ISSN 1806-9584.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1806-9584-2021v29n370177.

This work explores the experience of becoming a feminist in the digital age. This is done based on two case studies: first, feminist student collectives, where we map the use of technology and representations of feminism, and second, radical feminism in cyberspace, where we delve deeper into the relationship between feminism and technology. Woven between social networks and the streets, becoming a feminist in the digital age mobilizes experiences, recognition and knowledge systems (feminist theory), from where a new feminist epistemology is generated more current, attentive and articulated to the subjects.

Keywords : feminists; experience; feminist knowledge; cyberspace.
