Abstract

MENDONCA, Viviane Melo de  and  LEITE, Kelen Christina. The Rhythm and Poetry of a Lesbian Rapper in Social Struggles. Rev. Estud. Fem. [online]. 2021, vol.29, n.3, e82482.  Epub Sep 01, 2021. ISSN 1806-9584.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1806-9584-2021v29n382482.

This article discusses the relationship between contemporary malaise and resistance in the fields of gender, sexuality and social struggles, starting from political and symblic analysis axes present in the discursive practices of the lyrics produced by the Brazilian lesbian rapper Luana Hansen. Contemporary feminist studies located in dialogical, hyphenated and post-colonial spaces give theoretical and methodological foundation to the work carried out in the context of the rise of the extreme right and the articulation between conservatism and neoliberalism. It was concluded that discursive practices produced by the rapper's lyrics point to resistance as a desire to resist and, thus, to multiply networks and create new ways of expressing the struggle and existence of women, blacks and lesbians, who live in the periphery, always politically and strategically located in urban areas.

Keywords : lesbian; feminisms; rap music; resistence; Luana Hansen.
