The article aims to determine and describe the political preferences of young women studying at university in La Araucanía, concerning behaviors and opinions related to the field of political activity. Based on a quantitative methodological design, the collection of information (n = 260) was developed in four universities in the region. Among the results, there is a high level of indifference regarding identification with traditional political parties, little political participation at the level of militancy, a greater tendency with respect to left-wing parties in traditional universities and a higher level of political commitment to students’ demands.
