This article presents the experience of the evaluation of the curriculum of the Education Course at the Catholic University of Pernambuco. It is an evaluation in the style of participant survey, inspired by the paradigm of "emancipatory evaluation". With this methodology we hope to install a wide and permanent debate on the formation of educators through a group of action; directed at: critical description and analysis of the course; construction of negotiated solutions; implementation and systematic evaluation of the negotiated solutions. These actions are oriented by the concept of evaluation as a driving element of change, generated from the political will of its principal agents: the professors and students. In this sense, the evaluation is concerned with raising the principle problems and with the construction of alternatives to overcome them, with the perspective of a new configuration for the Education Course which will unloose new evaluative processes.
