From five processes of social influence (annihilation, submission, identification, internalization and change) the representations and intergroup relations were analyzed. According to the influence process undertaken, the representations and its stylization (appropiation/non-appropiation, personalization/non-personalization, grouping/ nongrouping, psychosocial creation/change) assumed differentiated configurations/ meanings. Two investigations carried out with Brazilian students receiving basic and postgraduation education, offered us an initial validation to this conceptual frame.
