The purpose of the present study was to rescue a set of events that in long run determined the extinction of the Federal Council of Education (CFE) which was created by the law n° 4024/61. Although aware of possible risks of theoretical eclecticism, I recognize that exclusively selecting only one epistemological dimensions could become a sterile procedure. Thus, a conceptual approach was built up integrating similar theoretical elements extracted from different knowledge domains. In this sense, an articulation between psychoanalysis and history, having ideology as a key component prevails in this study. The reconstruction of the ideological trajectory of the CFE/61 consisted of a chronological account of historical background as well as its contextualization against other similar organisms that existed before the CFE/61. From the perception of some of the members of the extinct Council and , at the same time, examining the practice of the CFE/61 related in The Documenta, this study tries to withdraw the symptoms related to that which was told and that which was not told (Lacan), the hints, the cues and the signs according to the Ginsburg's indiciary paradigm. These procedures permitted to obtain more visibility of the intricacies contained in the CFE/61 trajectory.
