This research intends to contribute to the inside evaluation movement in the High Level Educational institutions underlining the importance of the teachers' participation in the diagnostic of the disagreements and tendencies in relation to the evaluation process, with the following objectives: (a) indicate the teachers' representation of the private university about the institutional evaluation; (b) analyze this teachers' representations based in the Social Representation Theory; (c) identify the possible obstacles to the implementation of a evaluation process related to the possible representation expressed by the teacher; (d) propose alternative procedures that reduce these obstacles. The theoretical assumptions included the institutional evaluation and its aspects related to the Social Representation Theory. The Social Representation question was conceived based in some relevant authors like Minayo (1995), Guareschi and Jovchelovitch (1995), Spink (1995) and Moscovici (1985, 1978). We present the results assembled in 4 main categories, as a proposal to form elements belonging to the central core: institution, evaluation, democracy and obstacles. Other elements composed the peripheral region, as the following: self-evaluation, institutional soul, financial inversion and work with mistakes. We noticed that the indicators point out that the individual subject and social subject cognitive affective relation is essential to the implementation and continuity of an institutional evaluation democratic process in the High Level Educational Institutions.
