This paper presents an evaluation proposal of the logical operations identified by the Swiss epistemologist Jean Piaget, which has been developed by Professor Ronald J. Raven, from the New York University in Buffallo. It makes a reference to the logical development periods studied by Piaget, emphasizing the operational period in its concrete and abstract phases. It presents an analysis from this development process done by Raven and it comments the reasons of the instruments elaborated by him to evaluate the logical operations: a pictorial test of logical reasoning - the RTLO and a pencil and paper test - the RCCT, that in Brazil has been presented as an Academic Aptitude Test.
