The present study intended to evaluate the student evaluation practice in the field of professional training as it happens in the last period of the graduation course from Anna Nery Nursing School UFRJ. The study, with the evaluation purpose, used the interview, and from the compared analysis of the teachers' and students' explanations, it arrived to the results of the research that are analyzed under different views that the educational evaluation can have. The influence of the teachers' evaluation concept, its impact on the students and the consequences of this practice in the formation of a professional with an idealized profile by Anna Nery Nursing School and supported by the pertinent Legislation are discussed in this study. The incentive to the teachers to improve themselves on the teaching activities, mainly the learning evaluation, the opening to the students to participate actively in that process since its planning until its concreteness, emphasizing the constant accompaniment that it deserves by all the people involved are aspects shown in the study as adequate ways to an evaluation proposal more adjusted to the social changing and to the philosophy of Anna Nery Nursing School.
