This article presents a study that was done to evaluate the system of municipal kindergarten units in Florianópolis. That can be used as an auxiliary tool for the public politic planning people when they search for amplification. Applying the mathematics methodology of the assemblage covering a good number and space distribution is obtained. This methodology considers that the child should go through a determined maximum distance until he reaches the education unit near his address. The distance of 1.5 Km is adopted as a maximum distance. As a result, we can observe that exist a big difference in the quantity of education units that exist, besides a bad distribution of their localization through the municipality. Based in the social economic data of the administrative regions of the municipality, an index of necessity is calculated to suggest a progressive implementation procedure of new education units.
