The analyses of university admission systems based on evaluation tests during the secondary school, its outcomes and restrains is the main goal of this paper. Some experiences have been under scrutiny such as: the Progressive Evaluation System carried out by the Cesgranrio Foundation, the UnB Serial Evaluation Program: the UFOP State Selection, the UFPB Serial Selective Process and the UFSM Admission Program. The major contributution of news model was student and teachers' participation in its design in an attempt to reduce the gap between uversity/requirements and the secondary school curriculum.
