Authors have been revising literature on adolescence from a psychoanalytical view, influenced by the analysis of Rouanet’s work ( 1992) and also because extended adolescence is becoming more and more often. The concept of extended or prolongued adolescence, related to some clinical cases such as drug abuse with ethiology attributed to immature extended adolescence has been presented. Nowadays it is very common to find many young adults who postpone the end of their adolescence , influenced by society or even incentivated by the family. Better reflexion concerning changes of social and psychological conditions is a must, and these changes are likely to happen when we accept the fact that we are growing old and dying. In other words, childish attitudes should no longer exist.
