This work results from developed studies to understand the Physical Education in Elementary School, present Physical Education objectives knowledge better. The empirical basis to this text came out of a research developed by one of the writers in a Public School in Curitiba surroundings. After a theoretical discussion about knowledge, culture and school contents the text presents some alternatives for understanding a pedagogical methodology of this scholar discipline.
