Abstract

VALENTE, José Armando. Internet using in classrooms. Educ. Rev. [online]. 2002, n.19, pp.131-146. ISSN 0104-4060.

Internet, more specifically the Word Wide Web (Web), constitutes today ne of the most sophisticated means of using computers in education. This work discusses what is Internet and several ways it can be used educationally, including its support of distance education. It can be used as a source of information, complementing the instructionist view of teaching process; or used to develop activities that contribute to the learner’s construction of knowledge. The discussion indicates that the use of Internet according to the instructionist approach, or in the construction of knowledge, is determined by the teacher’s pedagogical intentions.

Keywords : Internet; Ensino-Aprendizagem; Construção de Páginas Web; Construção de Conhecimento.
