Abstract

BARRENECHEA, Cristina Azra. The distance learning student’s identity formation: reflections for a debate. Educ. Rev. [online]. 2003, n.21, pp.01-15. ISSN 0104-4060.

This article intends to raise some reflexions about the formation process of student’s autonomy and identity on a distance education undergraduate course in the field of Pedagogy with major in fundamental education at Federal University of Parana, Brazil. Because this is a new modality of education within university, this process offers a series of experiences on the identity recriation, not only for students, as well as to professors and other professionals involved in this project. The experiences in this course are renewing the pedagogical practices and conceptions in a educational modality which is still new in Brazil.
