In this work it is tried to resume a comparison centered on education, on the relationship between the developed and the developing countries, since the early period of the industrial revolution, mainly in England, to the date of the independence of the late. It is also reported how alternative forms of education, such as permanent education and education at distance came out defying the traditional patterns education in the southern State of Paraná, Brazil.
