CANTORANI, José Roberto Herrera  y  PILATTI, Luiz Alberto. Accessibility at the Federal Technological University of Paraná: analysis from the Inep reports and the manager's look . Educ. Rev. [online]. 2015, n.57, pp.171-189. ISSN 1984-0411.  https://doi.org/10.590/0104-4060.41363.

Accessibility is a theme of great social relevance. It stands out by promoting the inclusion of disabled people (DPs) and also by being a way for the fulfillment of their rights, particularly, the access to all levels of education. In such a context, the aim of this study is to examine the accessibility at Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná (UTFPR), a federal institution of higher education, according to the manager's point of view and also the reports of Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (Inep). To collect these data, the documental analysis and an interview were used. Through the documental analysis, 21 reports of courses offered by UTFPR that were evaluated by Inep in 2014 were analyzed. For the interview applied to the management of that institution, the procedure was the semi-structured interview. In the reports, there are a few observations directed to accessibility. By analyzing the interview, some problems were verified related to structures preceding the current legislation and the lack of budget for the adaptation of these structures. It can be concluded that the campi of UTFPR do not fully observe the legal and regulatory requirements established by the Ministry of Education (MEC), but they are considered satisfactory according to the Inep evaluation.

Palabras clave : accessibility; inclusion; Higher Education evaluation.
