MOREIRA, Kênia Hilda  and  FURTADO, Alessandra Cristina. The trajectory of José Pereira Lins and south Mato Grosso educational history in the second half of the 20th century. Educ. Rev. [online]. 2023, vol.39, e83901.  Epub Sep 06, 2023. ISSN 1984-0411.  https://doi.org/10.1590/1984-0411.83901.

This article searches to understand the history and trajectory of Professor José Pereira Lins whose acting was crucial to scholastic education on South of Mato Grosso State (nowadays Mato Grosso do Sul State), especially in Dourados city and its region, in the second half of the 20thcentury. The argument is methodologically anchored around biography as methodological and academic reference. The sources were the personal collection of the Professor José Pereira Lins, mainly available at the Federal University of Grande Dourados, in addition to articles in newspapers and magazines, academic articles and the work of Rosa (1990), which deals with the life story of Lins. This trajectory exposure is presented in three parts: 1. “José Pereira Lins and his personal collection”; 2. “José Pereira Lins: from student to professor; 3. “José Pereira Lins: dedication to teaching and education in Dourados and region”.

Keywords : Biografy José Pereira Lins; History of Education; South of Mato Grosso State.
