As a result of ethnographic research with children, this paper conducts thinking on relationships between infancy and patrimony within a perspective of Jongo or Caxambu context - an officially recognized (since 2005) immaterial cultural manifestation from the Vale do Paraíba. The participation of children in this game now represents a fundamental element in a simultaneous constructions of the new concept of infancy and of a new identity of Jongo game. This perceived educative relationship is just here assumed to be a meeting between different ages and genders and should be faced or treated as a politic task, in which novelties are yielded.
