The present world has been suffering great transformations. This situation requires to take a new stand about the human being and its childhood, and to rethinking values and concepts. We suggest a new glance over childhood a new way of hearing this childhood that has been silenced for a long time. We question space-time during childhood from Modernity to our days. The model of an ideal child, or normal child arise during Modernity as one thrives to model the standard human being. In the present days, what is been problematized is the rupture from childhood normalization, the need to respect differences, the time and space of each child as it is felt an intense and unique way. Finally, we question the role of school as a tool to perpetuate norms about childhood. If schools establishes a clear time and adequate way to be a child, there is no more a possibility to permit the other to be like he/she is, following his/her way and pace. It pertains to us, as educators, to discuss respect toward diversity so as to break away from the modern pre-established patters of normality.
