This study presents the results of the analysis of the Educational Computing Program actions in Rio de Janeiro which led to the exclusion of childhood education. We are focusing on the implementation period from 2001 up to 2004. Our initial hypothesis was that the Educational Computing Program participants child conception led to exclusion of childhood education. The implantation is redeemed through interviews with teachers authors who participated in different stages of implementation of this program. These narratives were produced guided by Walter Benjamin text The narrator. In this manner, we created a ample narrative. The professionals interviewed interact reconstructing the history of the Educational Computing Program, and told how childhood education was treated by this program through their concepts of children. Concluding, we go back to the original question and observe that the hypothesis was partially correct as some other factors are to be taken into consideration. We conclude suggesting that the Rio de Janeiro education department should ensures an increasingly direct involvement of children from 4 to 6 years and their teachers in their Educational Computing Program.
