This paper aims to discuss critical-collaborative research’s contribution as a possibility of educators continuous formation into the kindergarden context. These reflections come from the following observation: historically, we have been living with an uneasy dichotomy: the knowledge / thought - to make / to act. The critical-collaborative research has as its basis both historical-dialectical-materialism and actions as praxis. It is a collective activity in which, those who are enrolled are more than cooperative; they are collaborators. In this perspective, there is the attempt at intervening and transforming the contexts in which the research is embedded. It a research made with people not about them. We put forward that the educators’ formation must include not only systematized academic knowledge, but along with it, a permanent dialogue with other spaces, among them, the kindergarden context itself. This formation, thus, must surge from conflicts, doubts, tensions and from questions which emerge daily and which can be the basis of the reflection by people, who are engaged in the process of construction-deconstruction-reconstruction, about their practices.
