When a teacher comes to school, he brings his baggage of experience and representations along. One of the representation/knowledge objects of this teacher is the Media, which is present directly or indirectly in his social interactions. This qualitative and descriptive study, still in its initial phase, plans to investigate how the teachers seize on Media and the representations they make about it in the school space, because the media discourse is part of the process of reality construction of these subjects, supporting new ways of thinking and acting. All of this leads us to investigate the processes of technology and media reception in a general way. Specifically, we worked on the teachers who work with the most excluded segments of the public educational system. We are confronting many challenges believing in the Media educational possibilities, having courage to build/ destroy certainties we are attached to and flexibility to learn the social representations of teachers for young people and adults prompt to reveal how they seize on the present technologies in their practices in the classroom and out of it.
