This paper aims at an historical review of the social mobilization of the Youth and Adult Education Forums in Brazil, highlighting the dialogue that has been building and strengthening with the universities to achieve their ultimate goal to contribute to the formulation, discussion, dialogue and intervention in Public Policy and Social Practices of Youth and Adults. To do this, we rescue the history of mobilization of adult education forums in national meetings highlighting the collective construction of state and regional forums of Bahia, its organization and thematic thread. FinaIly, we highlight the role of universities, showing the results of this joint action in achieving the National Training Seminars for Educators of Youth and Adults in 2006 and 2007.
