Understanding the changes ocurred from the structural crisis of the capitalist system of production and social reproduction of material life, focused on the area of work management and production are fundamental to the apprehension of the reforms in education systems focused on the education of employees of new type, more adjusted to the new configuration of the productive forces and production management. It is on this scenario which is inserted the professor, who also needs to be resized to take account of the changes needed to adapt the school work to the new demands of competitiveness and productivity. We aim to clarify the relationship between the centrality and current events of the Human Capital Theory and of the Intellectual Capital, as guiding of public and private policies of education for the teaching job and the theoretical logic and marketing of the “knowledge society”. We demonstrated that knowledge is presented as a necessary and indispensable element for the latest model of management of pedagogical work although, can be seen as the production element of exclusion and inequality. We conclude that the new management model of pedagogical work relates directly to new models of teaching education/qualification for best fit and compliance with the precarious ways of work, present in the 21st century.
