In this article, we present elements that represent epistemological references in order to contribute to the development of studies and researches on subjectivity, perception and the process of making sense in school management. In exploring these concepts, we assume that, in the management process, there is a link between objective and subjective aspects. The first refers to that which is conceived and produced as educational policy while the latter concerns the perception and process of making sense of school administrators when urged to implement policies. With this perspective, we discuss the interface between policy, school administration and subjectivity, based on studies and researches already developed. Finally, we explore the concepts of perception and the process as making sense as categories of analysis, complementary to the concept of subjectivity.
