Resumen

The text is directed as a provocation to those who define educational policies and to the professors who educate would be teachers. We propose a relational, and pragmatic relation between national educational policies and discourses about them. We aim to provide an opportunity for reflection on the democratic context and make proposals that can improve the training and performance of teachers, in a way more in line with today socioeconomic, cultural and political realities. We propose evaluation, monitoring and tracking of programs in order to provide transparency, responsibility toward the public and examination of the impact of these programs. The text is based on ideas already expressed in some previous publications and seeks to move the discussion forward.
