This article analyzes the methodological approach of the narrative interview and interviews with experts as well as the contribution of these methods to qualitative research in Education. The first section briefly examines the social phenomenology of Alfred Schütz and his contribution to qualitative research. The next section discusses the procedures of the narrative interview developed by Fritz Schütze as well as the methodological aspects of interviews with experts as highlighted by Michael Meuser and Ulrike Nagel. In the final section, there is a presentation of examples of a research project based on narrative interviews with educational managers, who are responsible for inclusion policies in the educational system. The findings of this study suggest that qualitative research in Education through narrative interviews with experts presents a scientific and a political dimension. This kind of research enables the theoretical reflection on the biographical and professional trajectory of the managers and its relation to the assumptions that guide their actions for effective policies in education.
