In this article, we try to reflect on the self-writings on the social communities of Orkut, specifically the ones from the school communities of Colégio Militar do Rio de Janeiro and Colégio Marista São José do Rio de Janeiro. We believe they are virtual autobiographical writings about the school life; according to Sibilia (2008), a true private lives festival, a “show of the self “. If the hand of the subject tirelessly slid, taking notes of the daily life in intimate diaries, notebooks, sheets, secretly, at the time of digital technologies, the user moves on keyboards, screens, leaving registrations of his life, making visible their school stories. How do the users narrate their school stories? Who are those users? These questions led us to think that the writing about the school experiences allows the subject (SOUZA, 2006) to show himself through it. Our study is based on specialists such as Chartier (2002), Aymard (2009), Muzart (1998), Lèvy (1999) and Lejeune (2008), who led us to understand that the subjects are also built through their personal writing in several medium. Those writing of the self on the web may establish links with the memories of the subjects, who are not afraid of sharing their school stories in these new writing medium.
