In this article, departing from a dynamic approach to language acquisition, we discuss the role played by bi/multilingualism in the acquisition of knowledge. We focus our discussion on the executive control and creativity shown by these learners. This theoretical presentation will pave the way for a discussion on the role played by the school system as well as on the new challenges to be faced by teachers in a cooperative construction of knowledge.
