This work aims to identify the impact of the implementation of Critical-Reflexive Reports, set up in the PPGEDU/UNIPAMPA professional master’s in light of Freire’s concepts. This is a qualitative research, which used the documentary research approach. It was randomly collected eight course final papers and the data were worked by discursive textual analysis. The repercussions show the proximity of freire’s categories, establishing a fruitful dialogue between theory and practice, building alternatives and claiming an autonomy that is not granted and not protected, but it is built on the action. The results show that the methodology of research in PPGEDU presents challenges, tensions and teachings regarding the historically constructed and socially legitimated methodologies, as it is verified the involvement of the researcher and the role of the participating subjects.
