CARDOSO, Eduardo; SILVA, Tânia Luisa Koltermann da  y  ZARDO, Kemi Oshiro. Design for multisensory experience in museums. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2017, vol.26, n.50, pp.135-158. ISSN 0104-7043.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.v26.n50.135158.

This article aims to present the results obtained in the doctoral research entitled Design for multisensorial experience in museums: enjoyment of cultural objects by people with visual impairment, helded in the Graduate Program in Design (PgDesign/UFRGS) from 2012 to 2016. Its goal is to propose the requirements for the design and development of tactile and sound multimodal resources for the enjoyment of cultural objects by users with visual impairment in museums, according to an integrated experiencebased design approach. The methodological foundation is based on the approaches of qualitative and applied research. Thus, the techniques of direct observation, interviews and Kansei Engineering are used to characterize and understand the experiences of the subjects of the research, as well as to understand the development processes and the materials for the production of resources for consequent evaluation. The verification of the work occurred in the Joaquim Felizardo Museum, in Porto Alegre. The design requirements validated the hypothesis listed in response to the research problem. In addition to the design requirements, new tools were added to aid in the design of accessibility resources, such as: methodology and guidelines for the development of tactile and sound multimodal resources and instrument for user experience evaluation through differential semantic scales.
