This study analyzes the offering of educational courses for teaching entrepreneurship with the use of a tool for free massive open online courses, called MOOCs. The goal was to verify how this pedagogical distance learning practice has gained fans all over the world and, more precisely, the teaching of techniques and training associated with entrepreneurship. A bibliometric study was conducted on the main aggregator platform of MOOC providers, comparing its offering to other subjects, and also checking the Brazilian platform that provides MOOCs and its relation to this topic. The findings showed that entrepreneurship is a very relevant and growing topic in MOOC courses, notably in the world’s leading provider, COURSERA. MOOCs assume that knowledge must be shared freely for those who want to learn without the imposition of geographical, economic and demographic constraints. The Brazilian point of reference, the VEDUCA e-learning platform, is a recent platform, much smaller than the others existing in European countries and the United States, but with international and national partnerships for the development of its distance education projects.
