This article argues about interconnectedness among praxis, biography, research and theoretical construction in the context of Early Childhood Education. By approaching play as mediation and experience in Early Childhood Education, the article makes this interconnectedness offer reflexive guidelines about what we call a playful curriculum. In this biographical, theoretical and heuristic route, the engendered argumentation explain show play in children’s education significantly qualifies this education, broadening its resonance to make childhood a condition typical of this development phase. With this set of arguments, the article conclusively explains about the need for thinking/practicing playful curricula in Early Childhood Education.
