Abstract

Since 2010, the project Turismo de Base Comunitária (TBC) of Cabula district and surroundings have been accomplishing actions to develop eco-social citizenship practice in heirs of villages and quilombos, as that one destroyed by the police in 1807. The objective is to present the applied research on the Virtual Museum of the Cabula Quilombo, a digital application of community education character which helps in the formation of a eco-social citizenship conscience, valuing the self-esteem and becoming aware on the rich past history, cultural and environmental inheritance of the neighborhood. The community took part dialoguing on the historical research with the university, becoming an active investigator and accomplishing cycles of own development of the methodological approach Design-Based Research (DBR), adopted, for the construction of cognitive design of the Museum. The result of was considered appropriate and integrated to the TBC and it was concluded about the usefulness of that to help developing a eco-social citizenship practice necessary to TBC.
