(UFJF), Luciene Fernandes Loures  e  (UFJF), Thais Fernandes Sampaio. WHO IS THE TEACHER ACCORDING TO THE PROJECT “ESCOLA SEM PARTIDO"? A PROCESS OF SILENCING AND DEPRECIATION OF THE TEACHERS. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2020, vol.29, n.58, pp.216-232.  Epub 15-Dez-2020. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2020.v29.n58.p216-232.

This article aims to demonstrate, through the analysis of the projects n° 7.180/2014 and n° 867/2015, how the “Escola sem Partido” movement contributes to the process of silencing and depreciation of the teachers. The theory used consider the ideas from Bauman (2001, 2005, 2008), discussions about education in the “right” way (APPLE, 2006, 2017), the construct of teacher’s identity (BOHN, 2013; GIRROUX, 1997; SPIVAK, 2012), and also the concept of silencing (ORLANDI, 2007). The analysis reveals the strong presence of neoliberals, neo-conservatives and of religious fundamentalists in our education and traces the teacher’s profile according to the defenders of the movement: an indoctrinator, a manipulator, an influencer, an exploiter, a criminal, an authoritarian, an oppressor with left political ideals. The fallacy about neutral teaching represents an attempt to silence the voice of the class that represents 2,5 million professionals. It is necessary to rethink our teacher education. The future teacher needs to recognize yourself as a professional and an intellectual, thereby he or she will be able to form students conscious of their role in society.
