Abstract

This article aims to analyze Bahia State University (UNEB) historical path with projects in Rural Education and the relationship that was established with the participation of popular social movements of the countryside for propose, elaborate and monitor projects and training actions carried out. The research is epistemologically affiliated with Historical Dialectical Materialism and uses literature review and documentary research in the investigation process. The results point out limit situations, dialogue possibilities and collective work with the Social and Popular Union Movements of the Countryside to realize projects with Rural Education in the historical path of 26 years. It is concluded that the university has sought to implement new work fronts, listening to the movements demands and collective work principles, therefore, it indicates possibilities to reaffirm its social commitment to the countryside people.
