Abstract

This paper describes and analyzes the academic productions that have investigated Family Educational Centers of Training by Alternation (FECTAs), between the years 2006 and 2017, that is, the “State of Art” or “State of Knowledge”, also defined as bibliographic. In this way, it initially makes brief considerations about research in the field of Rural Education; then, it maps by year, regions and higher education institutions that offer postgraduate courses and highlights the studies that approach Pedagogy of Alternation. Subsequently, organized by thematic axes, it describes and analyzes research on FECTAs, considering, among other aspects, the different study approaches. It also highlights the importance of these researches in different areas of knowledge, with emphasis on education, as it is a differentiated alternative to Rural Education. The study revealed the increase of research in the last two decades around Rural Education, led by social and union organizations in the countryside, including tha FECTA’s educational movement.
