BICALHO, Ramofly; ESTEVAM, Suelen Pereira  and  MACEDO, Pedro Clei Sanches. CHALLENGES OF TEACHING TRAINING IN THE ESCOLA DA TERRA PROGRAM: ANALYSIS OF THE EXPERIENCE OF UFRRJ. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2021, vol.30, n.61, pp.283-298.  Epub Oct 18, 2021. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2020.v30.n61.p283-298.

The main objective of this article is to present reflections on the challenges of teacher training in the Escola da Terra Program, considering the pedagogical experiences developed at Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ), in the interface with public policies of rural education. We have developed a bibliographic and documentary research, using research sources, laws, ordinances and decrees, as well as theoretical references on rural education and the Escola da Terra Program. We conclude that the collective production of knowledge, in partnership with students, pedagogical staff, tutors, communities and social movements fighting for land, contributed to the valorization of the stories, memories, desires and identity recognition of individuals, both collectively and field, in its close relationship with rural schools. We found that this articulation is one of the main challenges to be faced by the rural education movement in Brazil.
