Abstract

FREITAS, Josenildes. PERRO VIEJO BY TERESA CÁRDENAS AND THE PERSPECTIVE ETHNIC-RACIAL IN SPANISH CLASS. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2021, vol.30, n.62, pp.103-117.  Epub Dec 16, 2021. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2021.v30.n61.p103-117.

In this text I intend to discuss the importance of promoting a foreign language Spanish teaching inclusive of sobre temas como representação, diáspora, acesso da população negra à educação, e ensino-aprendizagem em perspectiva étnico-racial, and which I propose here from a pedagogical work with the children and youth’s novel Perro Viejo (CÁRDENAS ÁNGULO , 2005), by Afro-Cuban writer Teresa Cárdenas Ángulo, to be carried out with high school students, considering the possibilities that the work offers for the exercise of a teaching practice sensitive to the identities that make up the classroom and guided by the rescue of the memory of the black diaspora in Latin America. To justify the relevance of this work, I return to the debate promoted by black intellectuals, such as Nazaré Lima, Florentina Souza, Petronilha Silva, Ione Jovino, Sueli Carneiro, Nilma Lino, Luis Alberto Gonçalves, Stuart Hall and Achile Mbembe on topics such as representation, diaspora, and access of the black population to education, teaching and learning in an ethnic-racial perspective.

Keywords : Spanish teaching; Ethnic-racial identity; Diaspora; Perro Viejo.
