This article is anchored in the history seen from below approach and based on documental research, mainly, it is based on scholar documents from Pernambuco Public Security Secretariat (Brazil). It aims to show the primary teacher and political prisoner Maria Celeste Vidal life trajectory. Through her experiences in favor of rural workers it was possible to unveil the formative elements of being a woman. Which individual action is associated with professorial habitus, political activism and relationship networks confronting fixed political and gender structures in the 1960s. Such elements are indicators of a training that congregates the schooling processes initiated in a primary school in Água Branca city located in Paraíba State and the Sagrado Coração School Pedagogical course, in Caruaru, Pernambuco State, and it molds as of labor struggles through sympathetical politicians’ interactions with the Brazilian Communist Party causes and with vulnerable agricultural workers experiences.
