This paper report deals with the development of an innovation in Geography Teaching based on the alignment of Design tools aimed at Education. Use a qualitative approach based on the methodological procedures of Graphic Design and Web Design. One of the principles for carrying out the projects is Open Education, materializing in the form of Open Educational Resources (OER), endowed with assistive technologies and made available in a structured way on the internet, via e-book and website. The article is not limited to the presentation of projects based on their products, but presents them taking as a process of challenges, decision-making and solutions. It is intended, therefore, to contribute with references and data that show the potential of the knowledge and tools Design to strengthen communicative works in the scope of Education. Thus, it is concluded that an educational innovation must integrate technical, social and decolonial pedagogies.
