This article is an excerpt of an ongoing research and chooses the digital narratives, the video-letters and youth as central theoretical categories. The study intends to analyze the repercussions of video-letters produced by young people within the context of education. This work describes four video-letters projects made by young people and discusses their forms of expression mediated by technology. The methodology of this article is composed by the review of literature on digital narratives, video-letters and video-letters projects. The results of the review of literature of this article reveal that the academic production on digital narratives and video-letters are recent in Brazil, for instance the Kieling studies (2012), Rodrigues (2020), Ruiz (2009) and Dultra (2019). Regarding the analyzed projects, the video-letters show that the digital narratives of the young people, considered here as historical and singular subjects (LEIRO, 2004), bring subjective reflections about their lives, contribute to the redefinition of traditional letters and indicate new times in the intersecting of education with contemporary technologies.
