Abstract

CECCHETTI, Elcio  and  TEDESCO, Anderson Luiz. NATIONAL NETWORK OF LICENTIATE DEGREES IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND THE SCHOOL RELIGIOUS DECOLONIZATION MOVEMENT. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2022, vol.31, n.66, pp.133-149.  Epub Oct 25, 2022. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2022.v31.n66.p133-149.

The article aims to contextualize the creation and strengthening of the movement for the epistemological and pedagogical transformation of Religious Education, in order to analyze the contributions of the National Network of Licentiate Degrees in Religious Education (RELER) to the religious decolonization of schools. This is a qualitative study, bibliographic and documentary type. Data collection comes from the study of scientific literature produced by different authors from a decolonial perspective, and documents that support the proposal of non-confessional Religious Education. The results indicate that: coloniality subsists in the religious and educational fields; confessional Religious Education reproduces the historical processes of religious imposition and homogenization; the Religious Education decolonization movement changed its epistemological and pedagogical foundations to contribute to the process of recognition of religious diversity; the National Network of Licentiate Degrees in Religious Education (RELER) has been playing a leading role in the field of teacher training for Religious Education from a decolonial and, therefore, non-confessional perspective.

Keywords : teacher training; religious education; decoloniality.
