Abstract

ROLDAO, Flávia Diniz; VITORINO, Anderson Francisco  and  SA, Ricardo Antunes de. STORYTELLING UNDER COMPLEX THINKING: UNDERSTANDING THE HUMAN, INCLUDING AND RECONNECTING KNOWLEDGES. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2022, vol.31, n.68, pp.20-33.  Epub Jan 13, 2023. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2022.v31.n68.p20-33.

This paper presents a theoretical and bibliographical investigation of the act of storytelling and how it can be understood in the light of Complex Thought based on selected writings of Morin. The aim was to build an understanding of how storytelling and the enjoyment of stories can be used in education from the perspective of inclusion. The research points out that, according to Morin, literature can favor the understanding of the human being and its multidimensionality. Thus, it unveils the connection between reason and emotion; the subjective and objective dimensions; the imaginary and the real, the logical rational language and the analogical-symbolic one; the aspects of singularity and human universality; the individual dimension and its tensions with society. Literature is proposed as a path to inclusion in education.

Keywords : storytelling; complex thought; human understanding; inclusion; reconnecting knowledge.
