Abstract

DUARTE, Thais Braz  and  CANDA, Cilene Nascimento. THE PERFORMANCE OF STORY TELLING: A CHOREOGRAPHY OF THOUGHT FORM CHILDHOOD. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2022, vol.31, n.68, pp.130-147.  Epub Jan 13, 2023. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2022.v31.n68.p130-147.

The association between storytelling and basic education is addressed in its cosmoperceptive dimension and in reference to societies of oral tradition principles. The performance constitutes a concept and a methodological path to understanding the events of a playful attitude when telling stories. The methodology is coated by the epistemological field of Afroperspectivity, based on Afrocentered knowledge, conceiving this research as an event that deeply involves bodies, memories and senses. Threads of performance experiences are retrieved to analyze the hybrid nature and potential of storytelling. In the research, its given to the children the voice of their own knowledge, interested in the mysteries of life and in the magic of tales and lessons about existence: to live between play and narrative, a seriously deep invitation to a complex understanding of orality that fulfills the stories to be told.

Keywords : orality; afroperspectivity; performance; storytelling; education.
