REZERA, Danielle  and  LOPES, Walson. SOCIAL EDUCATION AND STORYTELLING AS A DIDACTIC-METHODOLOGICAL CONTRIBUTION. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2022, vol.31, n.68, pp.168-180.  Epub Jan 13, 2023. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2022.v31.n68.p168-180.

In this article we discuss storytelling as a didactic methodology in the formative process of children between 6 and 12 years of age, who participated in an integral education program, from the perspective of non-formal education and formative guidance of social educators. Our goal is to discuss the relationship built, through educational methodologies of critical character, which involved the theater workshop, held during the periods 2015-2019. In special attention, by way of understanding the process of construction of the making of nonformal education and in its critical perspective, we discuss one of the formative experiences in this period. Under qualitative methodological perspective, we raise here an experience report, from the understanding of the importance of storytelling as a methodological tool in overcoming socio-historical tensions, as well as, in the construction of overcoming common sense, in Gramscian meaning and practices of sociability more citizen and critical.

Keywords : social education; storytelling; Gramsci.
