Abstract

DINIZ JUNIOR, Carlos A.  and  MOL, Saraa César. PROGRAMA MAIS EDUCAÇÃO: INDUCTION AND DISCONTINUITY. Revista da FAEEBA: Educação e Contemporaneidade [online]. 2023, vol.32, n.70, pp.145-159.  Epub Aug 29, 2023. ISSN 2358-0194.  https://doi.org/10.21879/faeeba2358-0194.2023.v32.n70.p145-159.

This work aims to analyze the effects of an inductive action by the federal government, materialized through the Programa Mais Educação (PME), and its absence, in full-time enrollments in the country. Using quantitative and qualitative research as a reference, based on documentary research, bibliographic research and data extracted from the School Census. Among the results, it is highlighted that the PME constitutes an action that induces full-time education policies and as a strategy to face educational inequalities. However, it was identified that the transfer of financial resources did not consider the inequalities present in the subnational instances and, in addition, the absence of an articulation, on the part of the Union - that considered the specificities of school education and the regional and local singularities - contributed to the decrease in full-time enrollments and the discontinuation of this policy in the country.
